To end the month here are some updates on Zoe:
Yesterday she officially turned 17 months. Go Zoe!
Yesterday I also realized she grew a few inches. How? She pulled down a hot cup of tea off the counter. I cried and I still feel guilty but knowing God protected her from getting burned still amazes me. I am so grateful for her mercy. I joked that I wasn’t going to put hot beverages on the counters anymore and I was moving the stove out to the lawn. I’m partially serious about the stove!
Other facts about Zoe:
She has become super friendly. She is super attached but she is now willing to socialize more with family and close friends.
Speaking of attached, I can barely leave the room without her throwing a tantrum. Hey, I guess that’s her way of balancing her new found friendliness. I did sneak out for a quick 25 minute run before she woke up this morning. Thank God the Hubs was home early because I needed that
run jog (yeah I was really trotting along but it still felt great.)
She loves watering her herb garden. By watering I mean sticking her hand in the watering can to grab her a sip.
She is all into the alphabet and counting. She has been counting to 10 for awhile and now she is figuring out 11-20. It’s pretty funny and 13 is her favorite place to start and stop. As for the alphabet, some of her letters still sound a little crazy but she loves signing the song and reciting the alphabet in back and forth play. Her alphabet play also helps me with my breathing on runs with the jogger. Her F, S and X still sound more like a snake hiss. LOL
Truth moment: We love our Joovy jogger but mama really doesn’t enjoy running with it.
She loves to write and draw. I may let her create her own piece for the gallery wall that is still in the planning phase.
Books are still in her top 3 things to play with. They were number 1 but that spot has been occupied with all things kitchen right now. Yes no seasoning or utensils is safe from her curious hands. All knives and peppery products have been moved out of her reach. Rounding out the top 3 is Siri. She cracks up when Siri talks to her.
She does a lot of talking. Some of it is still ?!?!?! but I know when some of that is actual words because she repeats it especially while reading.
She’s a big time climber and runner. Hmmmmm future track star? I’ll lean towards this versus rock climbing. My heart can’t deal with rock climbing.
She is still the best gift ever!
So there you have it. Z is for Zoe or as she says “OOOOO-EEEEE.” Yeah we’re working on it.
