{Eyes – A Haiku}
Are your eyes dancing?
Dancing in the songs of life
Dancing eyes all night
Project 52: Eyes
Last week we spent the weekend at the park. The goal was for the girls to have some fun and for me to capture those moments including some great shots of our eyes. The weather was perfect at almost 65 degrees. Let’s just say we spent a total of 24 minutes at the park. I got a some great shots of the girls but none of me and a few of the Hubs. He will make a little appearance a little further down but you know how that is: He’s not about that picture or blog life. LOL
Big Z
Her eyes are beautiful. People always inquire about her eyes. We say thank you but we also instill in her that she is more than her pretty eyes and face. She is a whole person destined for greatness. It’s important to teach lessons of self esteem and confidence beyond skin color and physical features.
Me
I didn’t capture any pictures of my eyes at the park. Remember we were only there for 24 minutes! Here is a car selfie I snapped a few days before while we were heading out to the museum. Ignore my eyebrows. I just can’t find a true go to person.
Little Z
A certain someone would not cooperate for a straight on shot in those 24 minutes at the park. Yes I keep bringing up those 24 minutes! Shortest park visit ever. LOL. I wasn’t laughing at the time. I do love this shot though.
The Hubs
Here is the little appearance by The Hubs. This is actually a great shot of him pushing Little Z on the swings. He is actually smiling in this shot. I’m going to have it printed but this is all we get on the blog. Do you know how much cropping I had to do to get this? And yes, he needs more sleep. He is a watch TV until the wee hours guy. A sucker for torture is what I call it.
Didn’t get a shot of our animal children Scout the Boxer or Rio the Parakeet. Next time.
How do you feel about the eyes in your life? Do they dance in the songs of life?

February 14, 2015 at 12:53 AMBoth of your girls are beautiful and have pretty eyes. I agree we have to teach our daughter’s they are more than just being pretty. I don’t ever want my daughter to think she can survive in the world on being pretty.

February 14, 2015 at 2:02 PMI love that you are teaching your daughter that she is more than just a pair of pretty eyes. I was always told my eyes were my best feature by people. I pretty much always thought they were my ONLY good feature. Very cool post around the haiku! Nicely done!

February 14, 2015 at 5:22 PMThat is such a great photography theme “eyes”. I love those shots. Eyes really can tell a story. Even when it wasn’t a straight on shot of little Z, I think it is a great shot and you can still see on her eyes that’s she’s having fun which is the most important thing.

February 15, 2015 at 3:15 PMLove this post! There is so much that the eyes tell us about each other and it comes from the heart. I love how you shared your family’s eyes. I must admit that with all the social media I sometimes don’t look into eyes as much as I should. Thanks for the reminder.

February 16, 2015 at 4:05 AMBeautiful!! Eyes are always the first thing that gets me about a person. I swear, sometimes you can see everything just by looking at a persons eyes. I get sucked into shows like your husband, hahaha! I love these shots and how each week you focus on something different! Thank you so much for sharing!

February 16, 2015 at 11:26 PMYour daughter’s eyes are amazing! I get so much attention with my eyes and even when I was younger it would actually annoy me and I would close my eyes so that strangers can stop looking at me! LOL
Anyways off topic kinda I know a good eyebrow person since we live in the same city! CandyBrow Bar in North Dekalb Mall does an amazing job they even do eyebrow tinting!!
M J
February 19, 2015 at 9:41 PMThanks Kiwi. Yes I noticed your eyes when we met but above all your personality and smile is what makes you so special. I’ve heard good things about CandyBrow Bar. I need to go for a visit so I can get these brows in order. Thanks for the recommendation.
