{Week 5} Our Project 52: Motion

Tips for preparing toddler for new baby

This week we visited the Fernbank Museum for the first time. We enjoyed a preview of their new exhibit Poison and then we explored the museum. With so much open space of course this weeks Project 52 focus on motion is all about Sugar Plum Z.

She walked, ran, hopped, jumped and had a complete blast. I’ve heard great things about the Fernbank and it did not disappoint. This is one membership our whole family will love and enjoy. Now we just have to purchase it.

Here are some pics of Sugar Plum Z in motion for #OurProject52.

I am so happy Zoe has met friends she can grow old with. This is one of her friends Baby Cake who is the daughter of my blogger boo Ashley. I love how Baby Cake enjoys spending time with Zoe even though they are two plus years apart. Some of my very best friends are 5-10 years older than me and that big sister bond has been priceless. Now my baby gets to experience the same thing.

Project 52 Motion Zoe is always on the move. You can see the #ZoeLShow on Instagram for more of her antics. Here she is marching her way to where ever her heart desires.

And then there is her stroller. I still consider it a lifesaver for so many reasons. We will surely be getting a double when Baby E arrives. Strollers are necessary even when you drive most places. Trust me!

Project 52 Motion Zoe was so excited about visiting the Fernbank Museum for the very first time. It’s the perfect indoor place for kids. The dog days of summer will be here before you know it not to mention these cold & rainy days that have been around. A family membership is an absolute must.

Project 52 Motion Just look at those feet go

Project 52 Motion And here she is trying to get away from my kisses. She definitely loves her independence and freedom. But then there are the times she smothers me. I love her many sides.

Project 52 Motion

I use the motion selection on my camera for these shots. I am still being lazy about getting to know this DSLR. This week I will be reading up on manual setting for pictures in motion. Check out weeks one, two, three and four of #OurProject52.

Be sure to check out what Everyday Eyecandy, Lipgloss & Binky and the rest of the #OurProject52 crew are up too. You can join in at anytime.

What’s your motion story?

Aww Zoe looks so adorable, I love her little outfit. My little one is always on the move too, it’s impossible to get a picture of him. I turn on sports mode on my DSLR but I get too many and they’re usually quite blurry cause he’s too quick Enjoy the rest of your Project 52!

Great photos. They are so cute. DSLRs can be tricky with all the functions and lens you can have and use.

How much is the family membership? Is it a lifetime package or one that must be renewed annually? It’s great that you enjoy quality time with family like that and also with some friends. This indoor place looks like a safe ground for kids.

Membership range from just below $100 to about $180. A great dealing considering the entrance fees. It’s a wonderful indoor space especially when the weather is crazy. Too hot or too cold just won’t do.

Thanks Carin. Tell me about it with the DSLR. I have to make a conscious effort not to go straight to auto. It’s work but I am determined to get better with it.

Let me start by saying your daughter is simply gorgeous. I LOVE her hair. Fernbank Museum sounds like a lot of fun, and it’s nice that it’s a museum that the whole family can enjoy.

Zoe and Baby Cake (what a nickname!) look like they’re having so much fun together, great photo of them jumping! And the photos of Zoe on the move really give a great feel for her energy and spunk. 😀 Fun captures, and great project!

For your DSLR, head on over to youtube. I have had mine since 2012 and I have yet to read the manual. lol I just did what I could to figure it out and checked out you tube! You tube is my secret lover in life! hahaha
