This Toddler Tuesday, I am sharing our playdate at Gymboree Play & Music. We decided to hangout with ZJ and her mom Gina for the family art class. Let me tell you, the girls had a blast and us moms were very pleased with the class overall. And yes we had fun too.
The family art class is an hour long and it is filled with lots to do including music, dancing and crafts. We came home with two art projects plus the girls enjoyed the sensory bin, building and farewell dance-a-thon. Our instructor Ms. Lisa was so much fun. The girls loved her. She took the time out to engage with each child by name, was very patient and explained the process and why certain activities are included in each class.
The color of the day was orange so we started out by making a sponge and brush masterpiece. We moved on to the sensory bin where shaving cream plus red and yellow paint were waiting for us. Red and yellow makes orange of course! Then we decorated our goldfish with orange tissue paper, foam and glue. Zoe was so excited when she saw the project. She screamed “GOLDFISH!” That’s my girl.
After our goldfish art, the girls spent time building skyscrapers and more. ZJ made a bridge and Zoe was channeling her Grandpa and Uncle Langston with her skyscraper building skills. They both have helped to build some of the most amazing skyscrapers in New York City including the World Trade Center.
Check out the girls in pictures and video. Give them a thumbs up and leave them some love on the video.
We will be signing Sugar Plum Z up for classes soon. Plus the open gym time is perfect for her to romp around with dad while mama is home caring for the baby in a few weeks. You can register to check out a free class at Gymboree. The birthday packages are something we may consider for Zoe’s Big 3.0 not to mention the Gymbucks etc. you receive from becoming a member. Gymboree has the cutest clothes and accessories.
