Sugar Plum Z and Mama have made some great friends in Atlanta. I love that Z is learning about friendship, sharing and enjoying special times as a toddler. I have so many great friends from childhood through my adult life that remain priceless to me. This week we met up with Zj and her mom Gina for our first play date together.
This play date was long overdue! I wrote about Gina way back and now we finally got together. Gina also launched her blog Mirror Watching all about her weight loss journey, life and inspiration. Gina and I “met” through Black Girls Run. I can’t wait to get back on the pavement so Gina and I can finally run together.
We took the girls to Ikea because seriously Ikea is just fun. Kids eat free on Tuesday so that was a bonus. More food for preggo me since Zoe barely eats any. Don’t judge me. After we left Ikea we ventured over to The Children’s Museum of Atlanta. They host Target Free Tuesday’s the second Tuesday of every month. Zoe finally enjoyed herself. She usually cries and stays in the front, visiting one exhibit if that. But after her initial shock of entering the building which lasted all of 3 minutes, she let loose and explored the entire museum.
Here is a video of our day.
What activities do you enjoy with your kids and friends for play dates?
