It’s happening friends. It’s happening. My baby is not really a baby anymore. He’s walking running, jumping, climbing and making me have daily panic attacks with his antics. But through it all, I still think of him of my little 7 lb 2 oz baby. The reality is setting in. He’s not that little baby anymore. Reality: Having to donate a full wardrobe of clothes and shoes because he’s not a baby anymore. And then I took a look at this falls baby boot collection from Stride Rite and with a big sigh I am sharing our very last baby boot… The Stride Rite Soft Motion Burrell Boot. This is it folks there is no turning back. Size 6 is it and we are there. My baby is wearing a size 6 shoe. We have a little bit of room but that’s just it. A little bit of room. How did this happen? I’m not ready for the big kid sizes! I’m just not ready.

Just look at these little cuties. They are made for the boy that Baby E is. The runner, jumper, climber, get into everything and afraid of nothing toddler that he is. The flexibility of the boot plus the deep grooves on the bottom makes me feel better about his daring adventures. Not to mention the memory foam. I am always here for memory foam because of comfort.
The big win has to be the easy-on/easy off and easy closure! I put them on and he pulls the strap. Teamwork! He spilled a little bubble liquid on them but the material is wipeable so there was no mark left behind. Another win because while scuffed shoes are unavoidable for kids, they make me crazy!
So what now? I guess I’ll start checking out the next phase of little kid Stride Rite shoes. We are entering the world of half sizes people. But here’s the thing, Zoe was wearing a teeny tiny size 5 well past her 2nd birthday so I didn’t expect to be moving on to the next phase of shoes this early. There is no turning back so Baby E will rock his Burrel boots until “the wheels fall off”. They go with everything so stay tuned for his fall adventures in his my favorite boots.
What’s your tot rocking for footwear this fall?
