Stone Mountain Christmas

Christmas

Let the Holidays Begin! My family and I were invited to preview Stone Mountain Christmas at Stone Mountain Park. You can enjoy Stone Mountain Park Christmas from November 8 to January 4. And don’t forget about Snow Mountain. Snow Mountain is the regions only snow park and will be open from Nov. 22 through Feb 22, 2015 on select dates. Be sure to check the calendar for updated schedules.

Our night at Snow Mountain Christmas began with heavy hors devours read dinner at the Crossroads. Then we headed outside to watch the parade which features Santa & Mrs. Clause, the beautiful Snow Angel, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster. Zoe did not enjoy Bumble or Rudolph which was surprising because she is a pretty fearless soon to be 2 year-old.

Up next, we took a ride on the Sing Along Christmas Train which features Christmas carols, how Santa spends his Christmas at Stone Mountain and the live train show, “The Gift” with a beautiful nativity scene. Be sure to grab a cup of hot cocoa and bring your blankets as the train ride is open air and definitely puts you in the Holiday mood.

We had one on one time with Santa. Here’s Zoe sizing up Santa’s Soldier.

She loved Santa so much she went back to visit him for a second time before the night was over. The girls enjoyed sharing their Christmas wish list with Santa. The question is: Are they on the Naughty or Nice List. Pre Holiday report cards will let us know really soon. We also took in Toyrific and the really funny Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas 4-D. Let’s just say the effects are truly life-like. Don’t miss this one.

We ended the evening with hot cocoa, funnel cakes and snowflakes (a Belgian waffle treat) while watching the grand finale featuring the Snow Angel, snow (yep our very own version of snow) and fireworks. In addition to all the attractions, the park is beautifully decorated and filled with Holiday cheer.

If you are in the area, be sure to check out all the sights and sounds of Stone Mountain Christmas and Snow Mountain. You can get discount combo tickets to the two attractions from Nov.22 to Jan. 4. The park is also offering special discounts for Military, Educators, Scouts, and special Winter Stay & Play packages.

Don’t miss out on the fun. What are your favorite local Holiday Attractions to visit?

Looks like such fun and I love that you were able to snuggle up with warm drinks at snacks. Zoe is too fly with those boots!

Stone Mountain is one of my favorite places in the world! We used to go every year when I lived in the ATL area. Love going there at any time of the year!

This looks like such an amazing time! I wish we were close to Stone Mountain or were in town fire a visit. We’ve got the Botanic Garden and the holiday train show, but it’s nowhere as fun as this.

Oh my goodness! It sounds like y’all had an amazing time at the Stone Mountain Christmas at Stone Mountain Park! I haven’t been to Stone Mountain since I was a kid, and I kind of adore that they host this HUGE event for the holidays — what fun for adults and kids alike!
