{Thank you to Depend for sponsoring today’s post about the #dropyourpants for #underwareness movement. As always opinions are my own}
I’m Dropping My Pants for Underwareness with Depend! There are so many things people don’t tell you about pregnancy. Even Dr. Google doesn’t share all of the nitty gritty unless you ask him specifically. Today I’m going to confess to one of those things: Bladder Leakage! Say what? Yes, I am experiencing bladder leakage and I am not ashamed to say it. If you are too, I have a secret… Depend is your friend.
This is my second pregnancy and I’ve been fortunate enough to avoid bladder leakage until now! You see I call myself the Kegel Queen so I never thought this would happen but my body is different this time around and lifting a 27 pound toddler doesn’t help AT ALL! So yep, I’ve had those moments. And I’m not alone. In speaking with a few close friends who are also pregnant the subject of bladder leakage came up. One soon to be first time mom is still in shock stating “I’ve lost all control over my bladder!” My response “Welcome to the club” Then the conversation went full throttle and we all agreed Depend is the answer for us.
But wait there is more. Bladder leakage doesn’t just affect the elderly or the expecting:
• More people with bladder leakage are in their 20’s than their 80’s
• The average age of someone with bladder leakage is only 52!
• More people with bladder leakage are 50 or younger than 60 or older!
So how are we dealing with this? One word: DEPEND. Depend is not just for old people! Depend is for all ages and bladder leakage is a common condition affecting 65 million people.
Depend is thin and comfortable to wear, it is not a big, bulky diaper! Moms to be, you will have more than enough diapers to deal with real soon. So don’t be afraid to wear Depend! Millions of people experience bladder leakage and it’s ok to reach for a thin, comfortable option.
Depend will donate $1, up to $3 million, over the next three years to charities that advance the research, education and awareness of bladder leakage for:
– Every pant drop, photo and video shared Using #Underwareness and #DropYourPants; and
– Every personal video made about what Underwareness means to you that is uploaded to YouTube and tagged #Underwareness and #DropYourPants

February 6, 2015 at 6:42 PMI don’t have leakage issues, but I know some who do. The problem is, most of them are shy to talk about this. Raising awareness will really motivate them to seek help or to know more about the problem.

February 7, 2015 at 1:47 AMNot a lot of people seem to realize when carrying a child your body makes some huge changes. Leaves a lot of long last effects on the body. I have to wear liners because till this day, I could be in danger of ‘leakage’ with a sneeze, a good laugh, or a cough. Sucks but it is the joys of giving birth. Depends is a great product for those who have a little more then the small leakage. =) Thank you so much for sharing!

February 8, 2015 at 10:22 PMI know a few people who experience leakage during pregnancy, it makes perfect sense with all your body is going through. I love that they are also donating money to charity via this campaign.
