{Week 4} Our Project 52: Blue Plus Baby Update

Project 52

Project 52

It’s Week 4 of our project 52 and by some miracle I am on time! This week’s theme is BLUE. I am pretty excited about this week because I’m sharing some news along with my pregnancy update. There is a video that goes with this post but… My editing skills are what I would call nonexistent. The video is not perfect but it’s our first one so I will post it sometime today.

Ok so on to BLUE. Drum roll please…

Project 52

Yep we are expecting a son. The husband is pretty stoked. But that’s not a surprise now is it ladies. Men love their daughters but tell them they are having a son and they automatically feel like they crossed some magical milestone. The family name lives on. LOL. The sex didn’t matter to me but one thing I know for sure: THIS SHOP IS CLOSED! Thank you all for coming out, God bless and good night. This is my last spin on the pregnancy train.

Project 52

24-25 week update:

Baby E is around the size of a large ear of corn. His heartbeat is great at 146 bpm.

Weight
1 lb 9 oz (I’m pretty sure that is bigger than an ear of corn)

How I’m Feeling
Tired! Pregnancy is hard work now add a two year old to the mix! Ugh. I’ve been having dizzy spells, some shortness of breath and don’t forget “pregnancy nose.” Constantly stuffy, filled with yuck and swollen like a sumo wrestler! Yep all of that.

Fitness
Still doing light yoga and some safe strength training with just the use of my body. My walks are proving difficult. Sugar Plum Z would rather ride her bike and play. The bike is an issue… Who’s doing all that bending? The jogger is far to heavy to lift in and out of the car. It’s just hectic!

My weight: I gained a whopping 6 lbs in about 4 weeks. Flag on the play! That brings my weight gain to 14 pounds. This weight gain along with my sono raised a bit of a red flag. My amniotic fluid is showing above average which could mean several issues. Gestational diabetes, a higher risk for stillbirth, a birth defect with Baby E’s ability to swallow or nothing at all. I am praying it is nothing at all but the doctor has me prepared to start coming weekly based on our next visit. So yes we still need your prayers and support.

Project 52

Also for our last update, I shared that Baby E has enlarged kidneys. At this latest appointment, his kidneys are still showing enlarged so at our next appointment we will referred to a pediatric urologist for further testing. Keep the prayers coming friends. We need them. I will say all of this news had me really nervous, down and doubtful. I cried and cried and cried some more. I wasn’t able to look at my sono pics until the next day. Do you see what I see? Baby E has his hands as if he is praying! I believe and I receive that message. Our family, friends (this includes all of you) and our church have us lifted in prayer.

Look back on my #OurProject52 week three, two and one. Don’t forget to join in and follow the hashtag on Instagram.

Stay tuned. If you have a prayer request of your own please let me know in the comments or via email.

Hey Vee. Oh no worries on the slip. Family members actually let the cat out the bag a few times. Thanks for your continued prayers and support. It means so much to me. I’ve always loved that line and couldn’t wait to use it. The baby factory shutting down is perfect for it. LOL

Ah! I love the praying hands. Let me just say being the mom of two boys, your boys hold such a special place in your heart. And those little muddy hugs and kisses will melt it. Congratulations!

Congratulations! I know how you feel about it being your last ride on the pregnancy train. I took my last ride and I am glad it’s over!

Awww congrats MJ! That’s exciting. And if it makes you feel any better, I gained over 60 lbs with my son (first born). I stopped looking at the scale once it hit over 200 🙂 I absolutely love that sono pic with his hands in prayer, that is precious and I believe is a sign from above. Sending you lots of love, hugs and continued prayers for a safe remainder of pregnancy and delivery.

Congrats on having a boy, and that is certainly a lovely way to celebrate the color blue. Also, the praying hands are too cute.
