We are counting down to our annual family holiday party. We usually have our holiday party the weekend of Christmas or the New Year. Our holiday party is an all day affair starting with a light breakfast, an hors d’ouevres hour, dinner and then dancing while dessert is served. Because I’m the adult with the youngest kids, someone has to make the kids feel fancy so I’ll be making an easy holiday orange cranberry mocktail. This year I’m also in charge of the cheese platter but you know me so a cheese and easy charcuterie board is what I’ll be bringing.
Now you know for me to pull all this off, it has to be easy. I’m not ready to get back to slicing fancy meats nor do I have an hour (or more) to taste test different cheeses. I needed to make a run to Sam’s Club for some of our basic household items including orange juice for the orange cranberry mocktail.
I grabbed a 2 pack of Simply Orange® Juice plus a container of Member’s Mark Deluxe Roasted Mixed Nuts. A double pack charcuterie sampler and a pack of a three cheese block I knew would work well with the meats. Simple, simple.
Orange Cranberry Mocktail
Print RecipeIngredients
- 3 oz of Simply Orange®
- 3 oz of Cranberry Seltzer Water
- Grenadine to taste
- Fresh cranberries for garnish
- Orange wedge
- Ice
Instructions
Place ice in an 8 oz glass,
Pour in cranberry seltzer, Simply Orange® juice and grenadine.
Garnish with fresh cranberries and orange wedge.
I made two versions of the charcuterie board since we have a few family members that do not eat nuts. Each board includes Prosciutto, Sweet Soppressata, Spicy Calabrese, Dry Coppa for the meats. The boards also smoked cheddar, gouda and fontina cheese, grapes and olives.
One board included a variety of crackers while the other included the mixed nuts and some balsamic baby onions. The boards were a big hit for the party we threw for Zoe’s birthday so holiday party here we come.
Want to recreate this orange cranberry mocktail and easy charcuterie board? Head to Sam’s Club to grab almost everything you need. Your guests will be wowed with this fancy set up and you won’t feel stressed out about preparing it.
What are some of your family holiday traditions?

February 26, 2018 at 5:14 PMThis is so good, it’s a cocktail for children. Didn’t know they were called Mocktails. Now the kids don’t need to feel left out on a cheese meat board lunch when we are drinking wine.
