Thank you, Minted for partnering with me to display my little artist’s masterpieces.
If you follow me on Instagram, you know that Zoe is my little artist. She’s been making art since she was 6 months old. Her art collection is mighty and I’ve considered several ways to store it but couldn’t decide on a great everyday display for her bedroom wall. I was scrolling through my email when I spotted a newsletter from Minted introducing The Little Artist Shelf. As soon as I clicked on the link for the shelf I knew it was the perfect display option for my little artist.
I took a look at the various options and decided on the middle length and the white wash color for the shelf. It was neutral enough but not full on white which is great because her walls are white. Do you think white bedrooms walls are crazy? I don’t. I feel like they are the perfect clean slate to display art, add pops of color and bring life to any room in the form of a color palette. But it has taken me way to0 long to start hanging Z’s art and some other pieces I have.
Anyway back to Minted and the Little Artist Shelf. I love it! And guess what folks, this super handy mama who has always failed at using a drill was able to hang this shelf all on her own. I used a drill for a little bit if help with getting the screws in but the good news is you can hang the shelf without using a drill. This is a win! I know so many mamas that haven’t quite mastered the drill. We conquer motherhood but drills are just ugh! Anyway, I did it and I thank Minted for including the little level checker thing in the package. It has a name, doesn’t it? LOL
But I wasn’t done on Minted. I decided to take a peek at the artwork they have available for little art lovers. I picked up a customized ballerina piece. It’s so cute and I love that you can not only add your child’s name. you can customize the skin tone too. That’s a big deal Minted! All ballerinas want to see themselves in pictures. I couldn’t help myself and decided to get a NYC street scene too because Hello, this girl reps Brooklyn!
I decided on 10 pieces for the shelf. Some framed art as well as some of my favorite pieces of art designed by my little artist. In the center, you will find my favorite piece of all. This is Zoe’s very first piece of artwork. Isn’t beautiful. I’ll be framing it soon but for now, it is in the perfect spot.
I ended up having to edit down a few pieces because things started to look a bit too cluttered. I love that we can change art out so having to edit my choices was fine. Next month Zoe will pick what gets to hang out on her little artist shelf.
