Maternity Style: Say Yes To The Jumper!

Maternity Style

This weekend I enjoyed a day out at the BLM Girls Blogger Brunch. Let me tell you, this mama to be was feeling tired and really wanted to stay home and sleep! But my days are numbered before Baby E arrives which means I need to get in a little more social time before the next few months. Wouldn’t you? No to mention The Hubs was hanging with the “terrific” two-year old Sugar Plum Z. Mama was out of there! Ha.

So what’s an almost due mom to wear to such an event. I wasn’t going with maternity jeans or anything dress down because post baby and c-section, I will be in full dress down mode for a bit. Then I remembered something I discovered in my closet a few weeks ago and decided to build my outfit from there. A Jumper also know as a Romper or Onesie depending on the crowd.  In my spring maternity style favorites post, a jumper was high on my list of things to buy. I shopped my closet instead and discovered this long forgotten gem! Mama is winning.

I decided to add a blazer because the air was a little crisp and it would lend to body definition. A chunky necklace, clutch bag and thick wedge sandals completed my look. Oh and a colorful headpiece. I’m experimenting with hair accessories as I transition to full natural. This piece was worn specifically to hide my edges! Ugh, I’m so over them.

I actually have two jumpers in my collection the other of which is more casual. The one I selected has never been worn. It was too big and I never took the time to get it altered. Speaking of… a good tailor is your friend people. But it’s a good thing I didn’t get it worked on because it fit perfectly on my 33 weeks + belly.

What do you think of my look? Would you rock a jumper for an afternoon look or as a maternity style staple?
