Managing Fever with TempTraq

Monitor fever with the wearable bluetooth enabled TempTraq Thermometer.

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of TempTraq. All opinions are 100% mine.

When Baby E was 9 weeks old, he spiked a fever of 102 degrees. Of course, this mama was in full on mommy bear mode and rushed him to the hospital. My immediate thought was the flu because this same thing happened to Zoe when she was 6 weeks old and flu was her diagnosis. Fevers in young infants are no laughing matter. Thank God Baby E did not have the flu. He did have an upper respiratory infection but with treatment, he was better in no time.

One thing that made the next few nights even more stressful was having to check his temperature. We all know infants sleep a lot but with Baby E, any movement or noise would wake him up and then we would be on the never ending sleep, wake, nurse struggle. I adjusted but it was not an easy few nights at all. Not that there are many easy nights with a hungry and growing infant.

Fast forward to the never ending teething phase + big sister is always sharing her school germs and we are here in the next phase of “growing pains”. This is the time when some toddlers may be sick or fussy or sick and fussy for any number of reasons or no reason at all. Just a few weeks ago, Baby E had a random fever. No sniffles, no coughing, no diarrhea. Just a fever. This time I was prepared with the TempTraq wearable thermometer. Listen, mamas, the TempTraq is a game changer.

Follow the directions to attach it under your kiddo’s arm. Download the app and set up your kids (yes you can monitor more than one kid and Temperature Monitor  at a time) and rest a little bit easier overnight when a fever strikes. Baby E is still a light sleeper so I would rather not pull out my mama ninja skills to check his temperature and escape the nursery in one piece.

Luckily Baby E’s fever only lasted a few hours. I suspect teething (the reason for just about anything these days) was the culprit. He was a little cranky but since he had no other symptoms and the fever went away, we moved on with our regular mama and toddlers day.

I’ve already shared the TempTraq with my mommy group. It’s truly a game changer for those restless days and nights with a fever. Buy TempTraq now  for your family and let me know how it goes when you use it. I feel like such a hip and techy mom these days.

I can’t believe I’ve never heard of TempTraq before! If you don’t mind me asking, do you have any idea how accurate it is? I’m sure I’ll give it a try anyway, but just wanted to know if you compared it against any other thermometer. To finish it off, I really like your blog. Thanks so much !

It was accurate when we used it. Making sure it is in the right place is key but I loved it for not having to wake my baby up.
