Letters To Our Children: March

Letters To Our Children March

Baby E,

I can’t believe you are already 10 months. Where did the time go? Talk about a rollercoaster ride. Just before and with your 10th month came:

Another tooth, well 1/4 of a tooth coming through.

Ahhhh and with that tooth came major draw blood biting. I tried all the tricks I read about and I asked the moms in my breastfeeding group how to get past the biting. None of the tricks worked and one of my mama buddies said “that ship has sailed” and so it looks like our breastfeeding days are over. You didn’t take but a day to “get over it”. You little piranha you! I don’t exactly miss it either. We’ve been through it all on this breastfeeding journey. I thank God and you for getting me through it. Now since you are all like 97th percentile aka a really Big Guy, I suppose you’re not missing much.

And now mama gets to buy her a few new bras and burn the nursing bras! LOL

And then there are the 2-4 steps you keep sneaking in. Dude, I know you just want to be carried and I’m alright with that but don’t get upset when I put you down at your request. Who are you, The Boss?

And those sounds you make that are close to a few words. I heard that “thank you” buddy! I heard it.

And possibly the biggest milestone of them all… You have slept through the night more times than not in the last two weeks. This is major! For you and for me. Thank you, Baby, and thank you, Sweet Baby Jesus!

Letters To Our Children March

My sweet baby boy you have given me a whole new meaning to endless love. Like my heart swells every time you give me that 2 1/4 tooth grin. Those giggles you share with your sister are priceless.  You are a joy and you crack me up the way you stand up for yourself and the way you go up and make friends at the park. You are already a leader and you have a kind heart. Stay that way my love.

Two more months until your Big 1.0! Let me get to pinning.

Love,

Mama

Girl, Pookah bit me once and that was the end of that. I think I scared him to death and he never did that again. But sleeping though the night is MAJOR!

Girl I was trying to hang it but last week was the end. He is fine. Figures he had a horrible night last night just before this letter went live. SMH

Oh the biting…mine even had the gall to laugh afterward! Getting continuous sleep is such a game changer! Best of luck with the teeth and the steps…it won’t be long before you are chasing that cutie all over!

Oh the smiles and giggles after the bite are something else. I’m getting my running sneakers ready for this little mover.
