Letters To Our Children: January

This month's letters to our children is dedicate to baby E.

Letters To Our Children

Today’s Letters to our Children is dedicated to Baby E. He is my newest joy and I love life with him daily. So this letter is for you Baby E…

Baby E,

You are 8 months old now. Time is flying right by and guess what? I am ok with that. I am loving how much you have grown and how excited you are when you discover new things. Lots of moms say to cherish the baby moments because they fly by so quickly. While they are right, I am loving this next phase you are entering.

So you’re ready to walk? Really Baby E. I was shocked the first time you stood up. Like you weren’t even crawling for more than a week and you just up and stand up! Who does that? Obviously you. I love it. You are on your way.

And I am so proud of you for jumping right in to this sleep training thing. Seriously I am so surprised you got with the program so quick. And thanks for deciding to embrace the bottle. You have no idea how much I feel like these big developments excite me and to be honest brings me a sense of relief. Mama is tired baby and sometimes I don’t feel like a great mom because I am overwhelmed with caring for you and your sister plus not getting enough sleep and attempting to keep our home in order. So thank you my son for being a strong and brave young man and taking these new steps like a champ. I keep saying “The Champ Is Here” and you really are.

Speaking of being the Champ. You crack me up every time you show your sister just who you are. You have no issue claiming your space when she is taking over and that happens often. You are so strong willed and will not be bullied. Keep that going baby boy.

I’m looking forward to the next few months, the next year and the years to come with you. I’m looking forward to seeing the young man you become as the years go on. What your favorite activities are, the books you love, the games you like to play, your favorite subject in school and more. Yes I am enjoying the moments now but I am excited about all the new things to come.

I love you Baby E. Thank you for blessing me with the gift of being a #BoyMom.

Thank you LaShawn for hosting the Letters to Our Children series and for taking this amazing picture of Baby E.

What a sweet letter, and what a sweet face! My youngest has just gone from walking to ‘running’ (mostly on the verge of falling) and this is by far (for me) the most exhausting phase of parenting. Good luck to you!

Girl I remember the new runner phase with Z. Definitely makes for nerves and a glass of wine in the evenings! LOL

Happy 8 months to Baby E! I agree that while I do miss the baby days, I’m enjoying watching my kids now that they’re school age. It’s a joy to see their personalities and watch them find their independence.

Thank you K. I’m glad I’m not the only one enjoying their growth and independence. I thought I something was wrong with me.

I was just remembering how last year at the Stone Mountain event you were very pregnant with him.
