Well hello spring! So nice to finally have you around. It’s been a long winter and Zoe has not been pleased with the many layers of clothes and too many days of pants. Trust me when I say she has pulled a skirt or dress over pants on many occasions over the last few months. But now spring is here and
she we are ready to peel off all the layers, rock all the pretty things and get out and play. It’s time for our list of kids style must haves picked by Zoe.
Last week we started our spring shopping at OshKosh. OshKosh has us covered for looks that go from school to the playground, mommy and me fun days (she really loves this one on one time with me) and of course Easter, spring tea parties and any reason to get all dolled up. There are 6 must haves on our list every year. Here’s the rundown…
Kids Spring Style Must Haves
1. Dresses & Skirts
There is no way I can share Zoe’s spring style must haves without starting with dresses. Dresses are by far her absolute favorite thing to wear. When a dress is not on hand, her next choice is a skirt. Almost always a dress or a skirt with playground shorts underneath because nothing will stop the fun. This look was perfect for our Easter day celebration with family.
Surprisingly Zoe is really into shorts right now. She actually picked out this cute shorts outfit to wear on our mom and me day. The girl has an eye for style. She thought her outfit went perfectly with mine and since the playground was on our agenda, shorts were a great idea.
3. Cute tops
I’m the girl that can stick to a basic skirt or a pair of jeans and add some flair with a cute top. Zoe is no different. While she loves color, she always notices the little details. The little tie loop at the waist of this shirt was what won her over. You can’t go wrong with a cute top.
4. Jackets and Outwear
A denim jacket and cardigans are always on our spring must haves list. Spring has sprung but the early mornings or afternoons are still a bit cool. Keeping a jacket or cardigan on hand makes for a happy five year old. I know I’m not alone in that my kid will randomly decide she is cold even on a warm day. I keep this gear in our car at all times.
5. Cute Shoes
I had to convince Zoe to skip her silver clog booties from OshKosh for our mommy and me date. It wasn’t too hard to do since she had these cute silver sneakers that are perfect for a fun day out. They work well with dresses, skirts and shorts. I need a pair or two for myself.
Make no mistake about it, Zoe is a girly girl and if left to dress herself, she will leave the house with all the accessories that ever did accessory.Trust me when I say I’ve already taught Zoe the art of removing one piece before leaving the house. No trip to OshKosh is complete without picking up a few accessories. Headbands, sunnies, and purses are always good choices.
Zoe will be back with more of her favorite looks all spring long so stay tuned.
