Hi Mamas!

Today I am checking with you about the healthy lifestyle changes I implemented this summer and sharing an updated version to my favorite cucumber watermelon salad recipe. Last month I shared my struggles with food and the different things I am doing to work on my food addiction, making better choices and feeling better about my health and appearance.

I’m happy to say that I have been winning the cravings struggle. Drinking more water and Meta Appetite Control drinks, incorporating healthy “snacks”, using my food and exercise tracker along with my fitness band has been the keys to my success. Having to be accountable in my tracker of food and competing with family and friends in daily steps challenges makes me mindful of what I’m eating or craving and why. Before I eat it, I ask myself what’s going on that causes me to want this wonderful piece of pie. I also check to see if I have had enough water, fiber and filling foods throughout the day.

In the mornings I make sure I eat within 2 hours of waking up. This is really hard for me but it I know eating a healthy breakfast helps me to avoid binge eating or devour sweets. I’ve made sure to have a good amount of protein along with carbs and of course a veggie and some fruits. My go-to morning meal is an omelet with peppers and mushrooms, half of a protein waffle, spinach, and mixed berries. After breakfast, I have a glass of Meta Appetite Control or I mix the powder into a green smoothie if I skipped fruits for my first meal.

Meta appetite control has not only helped me to increase my fiber intake, it also helps me to feel full after a meal. Normally I would be reaching for a snack within an hour or two of having breakfast but now I can go 3-4 hours without snacking. I definitely understand why it’s the #1 doctor recommended fiber brand.

For lunch, I have chicken breasts, green salad, a baked sweet potato and this yummy Cucumber, Watermelon Asiago Salad. This salad covers my need for something sweet and salty. It is delicious and definitely beats an order of fries or a bag of chips. I follow lunch with the Meta Appetite Control drink.

For dinner, I go for a hearty soup or baked salmon with roasted vegetables and wild rice or another big salad including some avocado to make it more filling. I don’t usually drink the Meta Appetite control drink after dinner because by then I am full plus I’d rather not spend the night going back and forth to the bathroom. LOL.

So far I’ve lost 5 lbs and a few inches in some key places (hello waistline). I also feel so much better physically and emotionally because I’m not just eating away my emotions. Getting up and out to walk or train for my 5K has also helped keep me focused.  Fill out this form to receive a $5 off coupon to give Meta Appetite Control a try.
