If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen a few pics of a bump. Some people have asked if these are old pics from my pregnancy with Sugar Plum Z. They are not! We are expecting again and this is my official announcement.
Today makes 21 weeks which means we have 19 more weeks to go. Only a few people know the sex so far so let’s just call Bump #2 Baby E for now.
I wasn’t blogging when I was pregnant with Z but I am now. I journaled during my first pregnancy, but I only shared 3 pics on social media and when Z was born, she didn’t show her face for many months. Now she is a big fan on IG. LOL. After two years of motherhood, I finally got the courage to share my birth story. Let’s see how it goes this time.
Before I update you on my bump progress I want to ask for your prayers for Baby E. During our anatomy scan, it was discovered that Baby E has enlarged kidneys. This condition can correct itself before birth, require antibiotics or even surgery after delivery. We are praying for healing and a full recovery regardless of what if any treatment will be necessary. So please pray for Baby E. Thank you in advance.
Bump Update:
21 Weeks
Size: Size of a Carrot. I love that growing fetuses are compared to foods in size. It cracks me up. Here is a breakdown by week from Baby Center.
Weight: About 12 oz
My weight gain: 7or 8 pounds. I keep forgetting to ask the doc what my starting weight was. I am more smaller compared to my pregnancy with Z. I am not complaining because I had weight I needed to lose anyway.
How I’m feeling: TIRED!
The first time around I spent almost 7 months on bed rest. This time no bed rest but boy do I need rest! Pregnancy is exhausting. Pregnancy with a two year old is 100 times worse! But I’m hanging in there.
My appetite comes and goes. The migraines persist and I crave beef! Muscle contractions in my legs have started and I’ve spotted the first drops of pre breast milk! Yup, things are getting real around here (as if they weren’t already.)
My workouts are basic yoga (thank you YouTube) and walks. I was holding off on lifting weights because I thought I had a hernia. Turns out it’s my pesky fibroids so I will be bringing back strength training this week. I am planning to make it to my first prenatal yoga class this week as well. Stay tuned.
So that’s it for now. Stay tuned for more updates and remember to keep Baby E in your prayers.

I went through the same thing with my second pregnancy with worries…even up to delivering and she was absolutely fine. Yours will be, too.

January 5, 2015 at 11:31 PMWhew! Ok, I wrote a really long post this morning from my phone and then accidentally erased it 🙁 But know that you’ve been in my thoughts and prayers today. I’m claiming along with everyone else, that your Baby E will come out ready for the world. I know it is still worrisome but God’s already worked it out. If I didn’t mention it before, I recommend reading the book “Praying for Your Unborn Child” (by Judith & Francis MacNut, can be found on Amazon).
But let me just say: you could NOT have chosen a more perfect blog name than “FAB Haute Momma”. You my dear make pregnancy and motherhood look dynamite 🙂 XO
M J
