Summer is almost here. Depending on where you are, the temperature is already screaming summer. What’s on my mind today? Perfect Summer Legs. Random, I know. Are your legs ready for shorts, the beach or evening strolls in short flowing dresses? If you’re a busy mom or just busy in general then the answer is probably no. A few days ago, I pulled out one of my favorite summer dresses only to realize my legs and my underarms (gasp) were just not ready. It was 90 degrees and I was stuck in a pair of jeans. Who does that? A tired all the time mom that forgets the little big things like shaving. Who else does that? A mom that has to cut her precious shower time short because kids, dinner prep, cleaning, play dates or insert any other thing that gets precedence.
Today I am sharing my routine for perfect summer legs. Most of them will give you immediate results and the one that doesn’t is good for you to start and continue all year long.
5 Steps to Perfect Summer Legs
Workout
I’m starting with the hardest one first. The only reason this one is hard is because let’s face it, starting a workout routine now will not immediately lead to perfect summer legs. It will eventually lead to the perfect legs so go ahead and get started now. I have a 5-minute leg routine that I’m able to commit to daily. Sometimes I do more. Sometimes I do less. But I make sure to give my legs a little workout love.
Scrub
Make this simple sugar scrub to exfoliate your legs. It’s great for the dead skin on your feet too. Exfoliate 2-3 times per week. And in case you were wondering, yes you should scrub before you shave. Scrubbing after can lead to skin irritation.
Ingredients
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 coconut or olive oil
2 tbsp lemon or lime juice
Mix everything together, apply to legs and exfoliate using a body sponge.
Shave
Now that you’ve worked out and scrubbed, it’s time to get your shave on. I swear by Gillette Venus Swirl razor and the Gillette Venus Sugarberry Bliss with Olay shaving cream. The Venus Swirl razor plus shaving cream gives me a smooth and clean shave every single time because of the contour blades and Flexiball technology. It’s no wonder the Venus Swirl is known as “The Perfectionist”.
The razor also comes with a few refill cartridges which are perfect since I’ve run out of fresh cartridges just when I need them. Like the few but far between date nights we get to go on. You can buy the Venus razors online at Walmart or in your local store.
Moisturize & Glow
When it comes to moisturizing, I’m an oil gal. My skin tends to be very dry so using oil helps to keep dryness at bay. I have another secret trick, I crush mix bronzing beads with my preferred oil for a great DIY summer time glow. There are tons of products you can buy but because of my sensitive skin, making it myself is best not to mention the cost savings.
Pedicure
There is no such thing as perfect summer legs without the perfect pedicure. You can DIY using the sugar scrub recipe above, a pretty polish color and don’t forget your moisturizer (hello petroleum jelly) and cotton socks at night.
Now that you know my routine for sexy legs, share your tips and tricks with me. Are you a Gillette razor fan? Watch the video and choose your smooth.

June 15, 2016 at 12:31 PMThank you for sharing your scrub recipe! My feet and legs could really use a good exfoliating. I spend a lot of time in shorts and on the lake during the summer months, so nice summer legs are especially important. A good razor can make all of the difference!

June 16, 2016 at 6:09 PMNow these are awesome tips to remember! I especially abide by the workout tip. Nothing beats sexy legs from a healthy workout — after all, it gives a boost of confidence too. Something like : “I worked hard for this!” Haha 😉
