They say daily workouts are a must for everyone. While I agree, I am here to say it’s not always easy or as simple as getting up and making it happen especially for moms. I am a mom of two young children and no matter how hard I try, sometimes my workouts just don’t happen. Sleepless nights due to night nursing of my infant, 2 year old nightmares from my toddler or just feeling exhausted in the morning means a missed workout or two three. To help me get to the 20 minutes per day, I started doing 5 minute mini workouts 2-4 times each day. I also commit to a 10-20 minute walk 3-5 times per week. Sometimes more, some times less. Oh and I allow myself a yummy snack every so often.
I’ve shared about my virtual mom group with my best friends before. We talk everything including workouts or lack there of. For the holidays, I decided to send my girls these Get My Body Back Gift Boxes which includes a few mini printable workouts, a water bottle, essential oils for a post workout massage or bath and my favorite goodnessknows® snack squares. Here’s how to make this kit for yourself or for your friends.
Get Your Body Back Kit
Supplies
- Empty baby wipes container
- Paper bag wrapping paper
- Tulle
- Large rubber band
- Workout CD
- Water Bottle
- Essential Oils
- Flash drive with workout playlist
- goodnessknows® snack squares
- Mini workout printables
Gift Box
I thought an empty baby wipes container would make for a good laugh from my girls. They would think it’s something for the baby until they open it up. Wrap the gift box in paper bag wrapping paper and tulle. Secure with a large rubber band then add the other items.
Workout CD
It’s great to get out of the house and head to the gym but honestly it rarely ever happens for me so I figured my girls would appreciate a workout CD. Pop it in while the kids nap or before they wake up in the morning. But if committing to a full workout is impossible right now then the next item in the gift box is the perfect alternative.
5 Minute Mini Workouts Printable
Try one of two of these 5 minute mini workouts a few times a day. If time permits, go for a brisk walk with your little one. The air will do you both well. A possible long nap for him and a great way to relief some stress for you. Click on the heading to print your copy.
Water Bottle
Staying hydrated is essential for everyone especially for moms on the go or ones that are nursing.
Snack
A post workout snack or a just because snack, goodnessknows® snack squares are perfect for my mama friends and I. We spend so much time caring for our children and our significant others that sometimes we just need to take a break and enjoy life. “Goodness to Greatness” goes a long way for moms who do it all. I included the goodnessknows® Cranberry, Almond, Dark Chocolate squares in the gift box because it’s my favorite flavor and I know my girls will love it too.
Essential Oils
Use for a post workout massage, bath or mix in a relaxing potpourri
Playlist
A flash drive with five fun songs to get you moving. I know this song has been played over and over again but “Because I’m Happy” is a great pick me up song to kick off your quick workout. The songs:
- Because I’m Happy by Pharell
- Shake It Off by Taylor Swift
- All About That Base by Meghan Trainor
- It’s Time For the Perculator by Cajmere
- Like Ah Boss by Machel Montano
Be sure to check out more great ways goodnessknows® snack squares goodness to greatness.
