5 Haikus From Your Big Sister To Be

Natural Kids Hairstyle

In a few weeks, my baby girl will become a big sister. I am so nervous. I never thought I would be blessed to have a child of my own and now I am on the verge of having two very special miracles. The thought overwhelms me. I’m also worried about how Little Z will react to her baby brother. Will she love him, resent him, understand him? Understand why mommy will not be available every minute of every day to meet her needs. I don’t know.

Poetry: 5 Big Sister HaikusWhat I do know is I have been talking to her about being a big sister. We sing, read and pray for little brother. She gives him daily kisses. Some more of the things we are doing to prepare Zoe for her big sister life are included on my 10 Tips for Preparing Toddler For New Baby list.During one of my sleepless nights this very subject was on my mind so I decided to pen 5 short haikus for Little Z on being a big sister. I may expand on a few of them but for now they are short and sweet and we will say them together. Hopefully one day she will recite them to her brother.

So baby E here are 5 Haikus from your Big Sister

A Big Sister’s Love

A big sisters love
Is like the flowers of spring
It blooms more each day

I’m Your Big Sister

I’m your big sister
Your protector Your bright light
I shine, you shine bright.

Sweet Little Brown Baby Boy

Come here brown baby
Sweet little brown baby boy
Brown sister loves you.

Run

Run in the swift wind
Faster little brother fast
Feel the wind with me

Big Sis Little Bro

Big sis little bro
We will conquer the big world
One Dream at a time

I will expand on each of these as time goes by. I’m sure there will be lots of actual events to add as Little Z and Baby E get to know one another.

These are too sweet, I can so see little Z reciting these to her little brother. Being a mother of 3 I know this is such an exciting time for your family. Much blessings!
