Happy New Year! Let’s make 2015 epic! All it takes is a few simple things.
Doing things I love is definitely on my list for 2015. Making sure to pay attention to the simple things is so important. Life doesn’t really get in the way unless we let it. I’m choosing to not let “life” get in the way of these simple things:
1. Call
Text is cool, email/inbox is cool but there is nothing like a good old fashion conversation with your peeps. Plan to hear my voice more often folks even if Sugar Plum Z interrupts! You know how these toddlers do.
2. Cards & Letters
I love cards! I love letters! I love opening the mail when these things are in the box. I hate when it’s just bills (who doesn’t?) I plan to send more cards and more letters and surprise things too!
3. Listen to music
Music makes everything better! It just does. Same as coffee!!! I enjoy quiet time but music soothes my soul and for some strange reason I haven’t been listening as much as I use to. That’s over.
4. Dance
“Dance like nobody’s is watching…”Need I say more? Well one more thing, Sugar Plum loves to dance too. It’s a win all around.
5. Fresh Flowers
I miss them. I use to buy them weekly and sometimes I made beautiful arrangements. Besides my children (can’t believe that’s a plural) some of the best gifts from The Hubs have been flowers. They are coming back.
6. Me Time
I have a whole post written up on this. Publishing soon. Just know this is not optional!
7. Dating My Man
This is really in my top 3 but it landed here just by because. We need to date! I miss dating this guy, my Hubs, my boo, my love. Again, not optional!
8. Give
I love giving. It makes my heart sing so I will be doing it more. Involving the kids is a must. I actually did my first anonymous good deed for the #DeedADay project today. Yep starting my page 1 of 365 in 2015 off on the right foot.
9. Organize
I’ll be pinning and actually implementing more organizational projects this week. I definitely need to stay on top of this. With the new bundle coming plus the girls and business projects, clutter can’t be a deterrent. Clutter makes me want to crawl into a hole and stay there. I’m over it!
10. Commit & Complete
I have lots of ideas. I start lots of projects. I have ideas that never even make it to paper and too many unfinished projects. This is a no no. If I commit to doing it then I will complete it. Easier said than done? Nope! It’s as simple as taking one action each day!
So that’s it. My #Simply2015
What simple things will you be enjoying this year?

January 2, 2015 at 1:18 AMGreat goals!!! I always want to date my husband more this year. One of my Christmas presents from my mom was six dates where she will watch the kids. We have never been on six dates in one year since we have had kids. I’m super excited for having lots of dates during 2015.

January 2, 2015 at 7:47 AMI love these! I am going most of these too. My main ones are date my husband( which means I need to find and PAY for a regular babysitter),Organize( because I SUCK) and Me time. And I completely agree about the fresh flowers. I try to get some every week. It makes such a difference!

January 3, 2015 at 9:45 PMWe can and will do this Lashawn. It is so important. I miss my boo even though we are married and living together. What part of the game is that?!?! Yep, I am looking into babysitter options myself and since he is off 2 days during the week, I day program for the kiddo would work too. I am doing a little bit of organizing each day because I can’t take the madness anymore. And I will be heading out to buy flowers tomorrow.
